Clicking on "Patient" and then "Communication" on the left hand side will lead you to the below page:
This is where you can see any communication with this particular patient, whether emails or SMS sent from with the Heydoc system.
It specifies the date it was sent and clicking on a communication will open the details and give you access to any attachment.
How can you communicate with patients through this section?
You can communicate with your patient through two ways in this section; SMS and Email.
To send an email to your patient, click the blue "Email" button circled below and a pop-up will appear as below:
Enter the subject and message and click "Send", this will automatically send to the email address which you have on file for this particular patient. Please note, the outgoing email address will be the one added in 'Settings' > 'Outgoing email' > 'General email'.
To send an SMS to your patient, click the blue "SMS" button circled and a pop-up will appear as below:
Enter the message and click "Send", this will automatically send to the mobile number which you have on file for this particular patient.
For patients to receive emails and SMSs, ensure that their communication preferences are ticked. To do this edit the patient and scroll down to "Communication preferences". Click save to update the changes:
Please note that it is not possible to reply to SMSs. It is only possible to send SMS messages to UK phone numbers.
